The 2025/26 Station Monitoring Programme (SMP) was launched on December 9, and the two stations selected for the programme were Green Acres in St. Catherine North Division and Bridgeport in St. Catherine South Division.
Under the programme, the two selected stations will be monitored once a month for six months in order foster greater conformance with policies and procedures of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
“The Green Acres and Bridgeport stations were selected based on their records management performance in the recently held Area 5 Transforming Our Police Service (TOPS) Competition, which required some improvement” Senior Director, Inspections and Monitoring, Andrew Beaumont.
The SMP, which was launched in 2023, seeks to determine whether there is a correlation between consistent monitoring and improved compliance with JCF policies.
The first two stations selected for the programme were Gold Street Station in Kingston Central Division and the Rockfort Station in Kingston Eastern Division. At the end of the six-month programme, both stations achieved perfection in records management. This outcome has successfully established a correlation between consistent monitoring and improved adherence to JCF policies and procedures.
The 2024/23 programme had similar results with the selected stations – Duhaney Park Station in St. Andrew South Division and Matilda’s Corner Station in St. Andrew Central Division.
The programme, which now in its third year, is now a permanent activity on the annual inspection schedule.
